ROOK HOUSE

Named after the rooks that nest in the surrounding trees, this two-storey home is rooted in its green Cornish setting. Two angled wings, one for open-plan living and a master suite, the other for bedrooms and a sunroom, embrace a sheltered portico. A sculptural steel stair marks the entrance, connecting both wings and floors. Clad in local stone, timber, and metal, the house balances solidity with softness. The architecture is designed around the landscape with generous openings that frame the landscape as you move, capturing the quiet presence of the trees, sky, and the birds that inspired its name.
